3. Use of how many and how much/ Uso de how many y how much?
How Much
Significa «mucho / cuánto» y se utiliza para incontables, preguntar sobre cantidades de cosas que no pueden enumerarse según su cantidad, como líquidos, dinero, azúcar o sal.
Ejemplos:
- There is much water in the pool – Hay mucha agua en la piscina.
- How much money do you have – Cuánto dinero tienes?
How Many
También significa «mucho/cuántos/cuántas», pero a diferencia de la anterior, se usa para contables, cosas que pueden enumerarse fácilmente, como manzanas, lápices o juguetes.
Ejemplos:
- Many toys- Muchos juguetes
- Many apples – Muchas manzanas
- How many books do you have? – ¿Cuántos libros tienes?
